Streamline the SSD process and create a system that enables citizens to get the help needed in a timely manner.

The way SSD processing is set up right now leads to hardship and loss to those least able to defend themselves. Why is it acceptable to have to wait 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, and have to keep petitioning again and again? Why is it ok for citizens to have to go through the indignity of proving just HOW disabled they are to an outside Doctor when they HAVE documentation from their own Doctor, Neurologist, Specialist, Therapist, etc, that state that they are indeed disabled? Why is it acceptable for those of us with fewer means to lose everything, cars, homes, family heirlooms, hope, in trying to survive while someone else decides whether we deserve the money we have paid into this system for this very reason. How many are homeless? How many have taken their own lives? Please help us.
