After all, the great Mahatma Gandhi said: ''The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the ways its animals are treated." Extending compassion and basic considerations for all living beings is the greatest example for our children and for our society. Until we are able to understand and appreciate all life for its inherent beauty and value, we will never achieve moral greatness.
There are a number of bills, rules, and regulations that directly impact the basic welfare of our farm animals, domestic pets, and wildlife.
Mr. President, please urge America to embrace kindness and compassion individually and help to advance progress through legislative, judicial, and executive actions.
