The purpose of this petition is to end the stranglehold the Presidential Debate Commission has on our election process. Equal access to debates for all parties would give the American people a wider variety of choices.
The debates should be throughout the year leading up to the election which would better inform the people on the issues that matter most to the nation as well as giving other candidates a voice on the national stage.
The current system supports a duopoly in our country and stifles true democracy. We spread democracy overseas while the Media, major political parties and corporations in our country blind the American people to better choices that have their voices silenced and marginalized.
Support democracy in our country.
