All habitats have certain factors they need to remain healthy and sustainable: foliage, herbivores, carnivores. Those three key components are all connect to each other to create a basic food chain that balances the set equilibrium and ecosystem sets. Plants create oxygen for all life to breath, herbivores control the growth of plants because if plants are too abundant than the shortage of carbon dioxide and the overload of oxygen can poison the atmosphere. Carnivores steady the herbivore number so plants don't dwindle. Ecosystems need balanced equilibrium, humans have pushed the boundaries of the equilibrium and unbalanced it by, over hunting of both predator a prey, and over deforestation causing an unhealthy chain reaction of destruction that needs to subside.
