Pornography is a well known public health crisis. Religious or social views aside, pornography should be regulated as any addictive legalized substance, such as alcohol or tobacco. Current restrictions are not up to par to protect the youth of this nation.
Current restrictions on pornography websites include a mandatory popup asking if the individual accusing the site is eighteen years or older. Anyone can click yes. This is like requiring an ID and then letting anyone into a club or bar. Adults have the right to the material, but it should still be controlled. I propose that websites with Adult Only content require log in with age verification, or stronger restrictions.
The state of Utah, the Republican Platform, and other organizations have declared pornography a public health crisis.
