We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Stricter regulations for labeling allergens and allergy prevention.

Created by D.O. on August 12, 2016

The United States allows companies to manufacture food in facilities with the top 8 allergens without notifying the public. Not only should they be forced to label if the food is manufactured in a facility using allergens, there should also be a law that forbids foods without the allergens to be manufactured in the same facilities. Also, they should make aware the source of their ingredients and if they are from a facility that contains allergens. Lives are more important than money and by not having safer laws these companies get away with unsafe practices. This is a serious matter that should be treated as such. Too many people trust companies that don't disclose this information and end up in the hospital and or dead. Enough is enough.
