Stricter sanctions and criminal offenses on police brutality by law enforcement officials

Created by R.E. on January 31, 2013

If you see something, say something documentary, along with the homicide of Nick Christie should be enough proof that the federal government should carry out punishments/sanctions for crimes of police brutality and excessive force. Local law enforcement has thousands of cases each year of police brutality and excessive force yet little, or no actions are done to prevent this. Law enforcement official's who brutally beat/kill a person with no absolute reason for excessive force should be sent to prison, not suspended for a week with pay. Many law enforcement official's are taking advantage of the force they're permitted to use just because they can and they know they will not be entitled to repercussions like everyday citizens would endure, they are NOT above the law.
