Spring is a wonderful time of year. But one of the nicest things about Spring--the gentle change of light is not possible because in 2005, President George W. Bush destroyed that by changing the Uniform Time Act of 1966 to begin Daylight Saving Time on the 2nd Sunday in March (Winter) instead of the first Sunday in April (Spring). It has not been proven that this saves energy, as the experts are torn. I personally think that Daylight Saving Time causes more energy use because it is so much darker and colder in the morning and people leave their heat on all day. This is especially true for the cold Winter of 2014. It is unnatural to have this continue this way, it causes depression, and it needs to be revoked and returned to the first Sunday in April. Let us experience Spring -- naturally.
