In light of recent events, it has become necessary for the Executive Branch to work with the Legislative Branch to introduce new regulations, while strictly enforcing existing rules and laws, that will curtail the use of firearms.
Although the Second Amendment grants Americans the right to own firearms as part of a well-regulated militia, the National Guard already serves this purpose. Personal use and ownership of firearms endangers the public. Please reference Aurora, CO, Virginia Tech, Gabbie Giffords, et al.
It is our Constitutional right to live our lives without having another infringing on our liberties by using a firearm to end our Pursuit of Happiness.
It is time to ban assault weapons outside of government control and severely restrict handgun ownership.
