There is a company that has a monopoly on selling goods in on base stores and most restaurants for the US Army and Air Force. It's called the Army & Air Force Exchange Service. They give terrible service and a terrible selection. Overseas military are especially trapped. Genuine competition with American stores would fix this. We don't need AAFES to make token contributions to the military moral and recreation slush funds. We need good products at low prices. Let's see what Wal Mart, Target, Home Depot whoever can do with our money. If AAFES can compete, good for them! But let's stop giving it to them for free!
