US Government expects the People to abide by our governing laws. However, when enacting on laws that should or should not be passed our legislature has failed miserably.
We need to light a fire under the Senate & Congress to actually do the job they were elected to do -- to pass legislation that is sensible and what the majority would prefer vs. the countless lobbyists that line their pockets.
The goal is for the Sequester to be finalized in a fair way with the will of the majority of people behind it. After this petition is voted through, each day that passes and there is not an agreement on the entire Sequester, each member of Congress & Senate have $1000 deducted from their salary.
This is one of the only forums I can think of as an individual where you MAY be able to make change.
