-Strip the President of the Title "Commander in Cheif." -Give Congress the power to elect a "Commander in Cheif."

Created by K.F. on March 15, 2013

The power to wage war should be put in the hands of the representatives of the people. We need a constitutional amendment to strip the president of the title and powers of "Commander in Cheif." The new position of commander in cheif should be a U.S. citizen, and should be elected by congress once every 2 years, with a term limit of 1 term. The "commander in chief" should be given all powers of the military, and all powers to wage war that the president of the united states has historically held. Congress shall retain the powers of "declaration of war."
