Vets are coming home waiting up to two years for his or her claim to be likely denied. Then after another 18 month appeal process, the Vet has gone almost fours years with no financial benefit and likely very little medical/mental health care has been provided to the Vet.
Getting appointments are next to impossible and the VA seems not to fee base civilian doctors anymore. So, you can expect longer waits and fewer providers.
We can do better. I used to work for the V A and things I learned would make your blood boil.
We need a change in processes, change in culture and bring the VA into this century.
