Presently, we vote on Tuesdays, and, only one day. As most working people work on Tuesdays, many find it inconvenient to vote.
Between working and child care, and working two jobs, voters can't get time to vote. So they don't!
By voting on a weekend or a weekend day and a weekday (Friday/Saturday, Sunday/Monday), all workers would be accommodated and voter participation would rise.
