It is absolutely insane that in the year 2014 we are still battling basic civil rights in what is called the "Land of the Free". I understand that this issue is on the fence right around 50/50 supportive/unsupportive respectively. However, as a citizen of the United States of America is blows me away that other countries that we learn about in History classes nationwide have legal same-sex marriage. Some of these countries I would be hard pressed to consider developed nations... South Africa anyone? Please, I implore the federal government of the United States of America to please make it legal nationwide.
