Many US couples/parents have been waiting a long time and are experiencing government "red tape"and blockage in having their legal adoptions fulfilled by the governments of the country in which they are trying to adopt a child from. I know of one case where the couple has been waiting for YEARS to acquire the child they legally adopted from Guatemala. This lengthy process has cost the family thousands of dollars in legal fees just trying to deal with the Guatemalan government. This is a travesty and should be addressed.
