Billions of dollars are spent on elections in the United States. Most of that money comes from corporations and special interest groups. Our elected officials care more about the groups who give them lots of money than the people they are supposed to represent. Our election system needs to be overhauled and the Fair Elections Now Act would help make our campaigns publicly financed and give people the power they deserve.
