Student Loan Forgiveness or Reduction Assistance to Foster Parents

Created by P.H. on April 15, 2015

Many people who want to become foster parents are afraid of the financial burden that it implies. Unlike people believe the stipend foster parents receive is either just enough or under what it costs to care for the child. The relief of this financial burden would allow more families to consider to adding to their household and committing to foster parenting. There is a huge need for foster parenting and this would create an incentive that would increase the numbers to assist in caring for those in the greatest need our foster children. Forgiving student loans perhaps even partially would free up resources of families who feel strongly about fostering but perhaps are afraid of committing and then not being financially stable.
