I am a woman with more than 50, 000 student loan. I did call the FEDLOAN department asking them for a type of settlement. And, they said they do not have anything available. For example, If I owe $20,000, and I have like 12,000 available to make a payment towards my student loan. Is it possible to get that 20,000 reduced to $12,000. So, I can PAY OFF my entire loan?
