I am a cosigner to my son's student loans. He graduated from O.S.U. and is currently working on his Master. He hasn't worked enough to contribute, and I took it upon myself to start paying them three years ago now, so that the accumulation interest doesn't ruin his chances at a decent start in the workforce. I called three years ago to see if they could go into deferment, since he's still in school, but because he isn't at a University that this Govt has on 'the list', he's not eligible. He's a JKU, Johannes Kepler Institute in Linz, Austria, and it's a great school. Many students from U.S. go there. Why aren't we eligible, and why are interest rates 6.8%. Who can possibly pay this back. Middle class America is being BROKEN by this. How about a righteous break for tax payers? HELP!!!!!!!
