We believe the Obama Administration should learn more about Permaculture. Care for Earth, Care for People, Share the Surplus. More long-term agricultural systems need to be integrated on the urban level, such as vertical farming, hydroponics, perennial gardening, food forests, rooftop farming. In celebration of Van Jones' "Green Jobs" initiative, we want the poor of this country to have the opportunity to become environmentalists through local economic direct action, and to reap the benefits of their Permaculture Education. The government should learn Permaculture and teach it for free.
