Study the viability of merging the Departments of Health and Human Services, Environmental Protection and Education

Created by E.J. on November 25, 2012

Merging the Departments of Health and Human Services, Education and the Environmental Protection Agency could serve to more closely align policy making and oversight in ways that enhance the overall wellness, productivity and wealth of the nation. Such a merger could integrate the medical, scientific and public servant communities behind healthcare and disease prevention, environmental protection and education in such a way as to create integrated polices to holistically address the public health challenges facing our nation. In addition, the potential for efficiencies gained though the elimination of redundant staffing and infrastructure could have a positive impact on the deficit.
