The current schooling system can be highly stressful and the emphasis on memorization of pointless facts and the use of standardized testing have put our country's students at a lower rank internationally then they should be at. While the new common core curriculum is a step in the right direction we must: 1. Investigate how students are responding to the stress that school creates and 2. Investigate the system of schooling that is used by the most academically successful countries. Once that is done we propose that states should be directed on how to improve school systems to achieve higher international performance and lower student stress levels. If any states don't wont to institute the appropriate reforms, they should become tied to a monetary reward, like highway money.
