submit to congress an amendment to the constitution calling for a annual balanced budget.

Created by D.S. on January 17, 2013

Our government being founded on the principals of good stewardship with the peoples money is hopelessly our of control when it comes to spending. Although many of the programs the government supports may be "feel good" programs, they are unsustainable. Almost 300 billion dollars a year is spent on the interest on the national debt and this interest payment grows every year due to the increase of the national debt. Our government should operate like the millions of families do in this country. When things are tight financially, we must cut out spending. A balanced budget would force our government to live with in their means.
