Those states comprising the former Confederate States of America are a significant drain on the country’s resources and a continual embarrassment to the nation.
As a group, they consume substantially more of the federal budget than they ever contribute in taxes, and provide us with the highest poverty rate, highest divorce rate and highest teen pregnancy rate of any other region, accompanied, for good measure, by the lowest educational level and lowest life expectancy.
Moreover, they are enormously disruptive to the governance of the country, habitually sending to the Congress numerous individuals of low intellect and mean spirit having the sole intent of obstruction.
They now bleat for secession. We should call the bluff and boot them.
