The purpose of this petition is to ask the Obama Administration to submit a Constitutional Amendment Resolution to Congress requiring that the Federal Government conduct all its operations within the confines of a balanced budget each fiscal year. Additionally, as part of the Resolution, it requests the additional requirement of outlawing continuing resolutions concerning federal spending permanently. The concept behind the request is to put our Federal Government's fiscal house in order, prevent further deficit spending and the continued downgrade of the U.S. Dollar and our global credit rating.
