Submit the Convention on the Rights of the Child to Congress for Ratification

The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is the international treaty that protects the rights of children. To date, the United States is the only member state of the United Nations that is not a ratifying party to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This petition is to request that the Obama Administration submit the treaty to Congress for ratification. The United States was a primary author of the treaty in 1989, and should rightfully join the rest of the world in ratifying. It is important for the United States to partner with the international community to protect the rights of children.
