Description of the petition is to push for legislation that aligns congressional pay to efforts that generate economic growth across the nation, with metrics that observe jobless rate, infrastructure expansion debt reduction at a normalized rate correlated to economic conditions. The amount of tax dollars going to salaries in congress measured against national progress needs reevaluation, under an antiquated 27th amendment. What should be collateral functions in nature has become a day to day effort i.e. threatening to sue the President, redundant political investigations over the same old issues, Affordable Care Act etc, isn't what the fore fathers envisioned for congress. The inability to execute the peoples business should not be rewarded with an ever increasing salary. change the Law!
