Political party affiliation has caused too much gridlock and poor decision making, putting the future of this great nation in jeopardy. I propose eliminating political party affiliations to enable our leaders to act in good conscience as opposed to being forced to choose loyalty to any political party. Elected officials should not be tied to and bound as Democrats or Republicans, rather they should all act as Americans and strive to make decisions to pass and reject legislation that ensures the survival of our great nation and avoid the destinies that have befallen the great civilizations that have proceeded us.
