Submit legislation limiting the size and availability of pistol and rifle magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.

Created by M.P. on December 14, 2012

The second amendment right to own a fire arm is an important one, however it is not an absolute. Just as the first amendment doesn't protect someone who threatens public safety by yelling "Fire!" in a theater, accessories that increase the killing capability of fire arms should not be protected by the second amendment. Americans can still own fire arms but high capacity magazines, which threaten the public safety, should have their availability restricted.
