SUBMIT THE U.N. CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD TO THE CONGRESS FOR VERIFICATION

Mr. President promised in 2008's inauguration to present the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1990 to the Congress, which has not taken place. Out of 194 member states of the UN, only U.S. and the other two African countries (Samolia and South Sudan) do not adopt the CRC. Why would US not be in line with the international standards on protecting the rights of the child? A child is s human being and should be protected by the XIV Amendment of the Constitution. An estimated average of 58,000 children a year in the US call for protection of their rights.
