It is an undeniable reality that our fossil fuel reserves will eventually run out. Once we are out of oil and gas, which may happen within the next century if the population keeps growing, we will be forced to rely on renewable energy, especially biofuels. Renewable energy is excellent for economic growth, as it would create thousands, if not millions of jobs in agriculture, science, engineering, construction, and transportation. More jobs and a secure fuel and energy supply are things that America hasn't needed as much is it does now since World War Two. If subsidies are provided to alternative energy start-ups, they will be payed back not only in corporate, income and fuel taxes, but also lower unemployment, and cleaner air, water and soil.
