This petition asserts that the Obama administration should create funding to subsidize a chain of "Made In America" stores in major American cities and an online storefront. The start-up of these stores would be partially funded by tax revenue and partially funded by private entities willing to invest in a store (i.e., government and private industry truly working together).
These stores would only sell products made, manufactured, and assembled in the United States. They would provide job opportunities for many who are out of work and investment opportunities for those willing to start up a store. In addition, they would promote the purchase and sale of American goods, reinforce the American jobs and companies putting the products on the shelves, and drive costs/prices down.
