Rising college costs are forcing many students to eliminate college from their future plans. Cost must be made affordable. According to Stephen Nichols from Political Daily, the government has "an obligation to provide a quality education and make it affordable for the people who support the institution with their taxes." College prices have continued to go up despite a failing economy. The government needs to step in and help perspective students pay for college either by subsidizing costs through grants or scholarships.
