Internet access has become a vital part of our society. Many aspects of our daily lives revolve around being connected to the Internet, whether we realize it or not. The Internet is more than just browsing for things to keep us entertained... it also helps educate us, keep us safe, communicate with each other and with vital services, and provides access to many more services than we were ever able to access before.
The ability to conduct business, perform research, educate children and adults, communicate with others, and be connected to the Internet in general can improve the lives of many. But only if they can afford it.
As such, I petition to have Internet access subsidized in order to provide free or low cost high speed access to all people in the United states.
