In the city of Kansas City, Google is taking on a project known as Google Fiber in which they are selling people internet speeds up to 1 Gb/s with their fiber optic network. As of right now, they are building their network from scratch. When the internet was first invented, the US was 1st in internet connection, now we are 28th. The average South Korean has a 4x faster internet connection than the average American. This is not a way for people to look at cat videos faster, but to help the infrastructure. America is the greatest country on Earth and should not be ranked 28th in anything. If the US Government would give subsidies to Google, then cheap, fast internet would be available to all Americans and we would be free from the costy, slow connections (we're looking at you Comcast)
