Subsidize Organic crops and their farmers.

Created by J.W. on October 11, 2014

We the people of the United States of America, petition the Obama Administration to begin to subsidize Organic farming. Many studies show that Organic farming uses less pesticides and is more sustainable than conventional, GMO-crop farming. Currently, Organic foods are expensive because of the lack of government subsidies to Organic crops and their farmers, while GMO crops such as corn and soy are at very low prices because of heavy government subsidies because corn and soy can be made into many different foods. Subsidizing Organic farms would make healthier food less expensive for those who would not be able to afford it currently, which would result in healthier, more productive Americans, effectively improving the American economy every bite of an Organic crop.
