Substantially invest in bringing the infrastructure of the USA up to par with other first world countries..

Restoring the highways, roads, trains systems, bridges and waterways would create many jobs and improve our safety, ability to respond rapidly to a crisis at home, and to prevent further decay. There is no reason why our train systems and transportation cannot be as modern and efficient as other countries. This worked to get us out of the last big depression, and it would make jobs for many people as well as restoring the USA to the country it once was.
