Suggest a Constitutional Amendment as follows: "Congress shall not be exempt from any law they impose upon the nation."

Created by J.W. on April 09, 2013

For too long, Congress has imposed laws and regulations upon the people and businesses of the United States to which, they have exempted themselves. This has created a Congress that is insensitive to the sometimes devastating effects of these laws. They have turned themselves into a privaleged class with a "do as I say, not as I do" mindset.

Require Congress to be subject not only to labor laws and health care laws, but also subject them to the requirements of Social Security and Medicare. Remove the exhorbitant perks,

Requiring Congress to be subject to the same laws as the American people and American businesses will stop this insanity, and force this governing body to more carefully consider legislation before passing it.

This is good for the American people, and good for our nation
