If the USPS started delivery by owl (or other bird) the USPS would be able to save a large amount of money from not having to use gasoline.
These birds might be eased into the Postal Service. Possibly replacing Saturday.

Many younger people would be very delighted to receive a letter by owl, and be willing to pay for the extra service during saturdays.
