Summer Program to Feed Low Income Families.

Created by L.S. on May 06, 2016

Families don't get the same amount of nutrients in the summer as during the school year. The schools provide breakfast and lunch for the students. For some of these children it is the only meal they will receive that day. During the summer, they don't have that same option. Schools should have a program where they will serve to the community during breakfast and lunch. This will help children and families from going hungry. The school will fund this through a summer school or mentoring program. That way they won't feel as bad to go because their will already be children eating there. So the children will not know the difference.
