Sunset all Federal regulations after seven (7) years from being published.

To reduced the burden of federal regulations on the economy, and to encourage clear and specific regulations, we the signed suggest that the Administration propose to congress that all regulations must be be approved by Congress every 7 years or they become null and void. The department or agency responsible for enforcing each regulation will submit to congress annually a list of regulations it wishes to renew at least two years prior to the 7 year sunset. Congress may review and revise the list and submit it back to the administration at least one year prior to the 7 year sunset. The Administration should work with the appropriate committees (for example, the Senate Subcommittee on Oversight of Government Management) of Congress to develop the details.
