Brisilda is a seventeen-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. Originally from Albania, she did not always receive the proper medical care for her illness. It was there she endured several painful, futile surgeries to no avail. Brisilda had the opportunity to come to the United States, and was adopted by her grandparents. It was here that she received a proper diagnosis and was able to get the physical therapy she needed.Today she is a high school sophomore. Brisilda has done well for herself while dealing with adversity of her disease. Brisilda has a dream: "I have a dream to meet the great President Barack Obama. It would make me so unimaginably happy if I could tell him that his triumph over adversity makes me strive to live every single day."It is my hope that we can make her dream reality
