The NFL has become our National Sport. It does have issues with PED's, lack of opportunities for minorities, and gun issues for players. However, the year Super Bowl is a time for celebration.
Most people get together and have parties to watch the one game to settle the season (the only of the major four sports that's final is one game). With all this focus, plus the timing of the game at night (on the east coast), we need time from being wound up.
Therefore, I would encourage legislation to make the Monday after the Super Bowl a National Federal Holiday where people would not have to go into work. Similar to Labor Day or July 4th this should affect all industries including Government, Finance, Banking, Mail Service, etc. This was we can enjoy the game, reduce DUI's, and be safer.
