supplement healthcare reform by passing a public option

Created by F.B. on May 18, 2013

The present healthcare reform bill will do very little to nothing to resolve the real issue that has us rated so badly compared to other developed countries and what our real problem is. We have a very very bad healthcare system. We are spending over 3 times more than we did before the implementation of managed care, contradictory to what it's intention was. We are less healthy than we were as a whole despite all available state of the art treatments. Mostly because insurance companies prevent us from properly delivering safe, effective, state of the art care. The present bill is analogous to attempting to fix a depression by building more soup kitchens.

I propose that we do what we should have done in the first place. Pass a public option, get rid of medicaid.
