We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Reform

Created by M.J. on December 23, 2016

We the People demand reform to the SNAP benefit program.
The program is often misused to buy non nutritional items, either knowingly or due to lack of education on what constitutes as nutritional, healthy food.
We the people demand reform to the SNAP program to specifically ban the purchase of artificially sweetened/carbonated/energy drinks, packaged candy, potato chips and other unhealthy snacks.
Limiting the purchases available to whole wheat bread, fresh fruit and veggies, chicken, beef and other essential items for baking would bring the program back inline with its intentions and namesake.
We also demand that an nutrition instructional class be a requirement for receiving benefits that educates the benefit holder on the dangers of junk food and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
