support 99% Occupy movement's right to peacefully gather and demand a redress of grievances, our 1st Amendment right.

Created by L.J. on November 18, 2011

Mayors and police across the US are arresting, injuring, and harassing Americans who are exercising their right to peaceably assemble to demand a redress of grievances from their government in the "Occupy Wall Street" movement. Pres. Obama said, of Iran's protesters, that "The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected, and the United States stands with all who seek to exercise those rights" (AP, 6/20/2009). Where is the President now? Why isn't he strongly supporting OUR rights? We call on him to make a strong public statement NOW that the Occupy protesters must be allowed to gather and protest.
