Currently there is no federal law protecting LGBT from discrimination (employment, housing, public accommodations, etc.) in the United States. The proposed Employment Non-Discrimination Act would add LGBT protections to employment only. In 2013, it is time for the President to endorse and send legislation to Congress for a comprehensive LGBT non-discrimination bill to add sexual orientation and gender identity/expression to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This as the original goal of the first LGBT equality bill introduced by Rep. Bella Abzug in 1974, but that has now been watered down to "ENDA." Sign this petition to support the introduction of a new Equality Act of 2013 to protect all LGBT people!
