Current Federal court decisions have designated "cheerleading" to not be a "sport" for Title IX funding at colleges. Today, cheerleaders are gymnasts, dancers, and most of all, athletes. We need a federal law that would negate the recent federal decision and put "cheerleading" in the "sport" category for matching Title IX funds.
