We need to support sane Gun Control by:
1 - Define and ban Assault Weapons as any rifle that looks like the weapons used by the military.
2 - Ban large capacity clips that allow more people to be killed before reloading. Even a small hesitation to change a clip would allow more victims to escape.
3 - Force background checks BEFORE purchasing weapons regardless of where the weapon is sold.
4 - Require *certified* gun safety training for anyone purchasing a weapon. This would be similar to requiring a driver's test to get a driver's license. This is one item the NRA could be a help.
5 - Strengthen background checks by requiring all states to keep a computer database, shared with the Federal Government, of criminals and psychiatric patients to be used in background check
